Cranes of the World grand opening celebration
We’re bursting at the seams with excitement for our Saturday, Sept. 18, Grand Opening Celebration of our $10 million renovated Cranes of the World experience. Join us for a day filled with crane activities and events from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Enjoy our new crane exhibits with water features, along with new murals and interpretive signage. Also, don’t forget to take advantage of our beautiful birding and hiking trails.
The celebration includes a ribbon-cutting ceremony, programmatic crane talks, prairie walks and activity bags for kids.

- 2 p.m. | Whooping Cranes in Winter, Leiden Conservation Whooping Crane Biologist Rari Marks, Whooping Crane Exhibit
- 3 p.m. | Saving Cranes in East Asia, Vice President International – Asia Spike Millington, Cranes and Culture Plaza
