What You'll Learn

 

DEZ’s Basics of Pistol class is taught by our USCCA/NRA certified instructors who are proficient in the instruction and handling of handguns. The 2 to 2.5 hr. course allows for close, personal hands-on attention in a relaxed classroom environment. Low student to instructor ratio is designed around the fundamental skills behind shooting handguns safely and accurately. Other materials covered in this course would be gear, accessories, safe storage and the basics of cleaning and maintaining your firearm.

 

Focus areas include:

• Safety • Loading and unloading • Nomenclature (Parts) • Stance and grip • Sight alignment and trigger press • Cleaning overview • Storage • Ammunition selection • Live fire (Shooting) In our state-of-the-art climate controlled indoor range

 

Equipment Needed: Eye and Ear Protection (.22 Handgun and Ammunition will be available for rent if needed)

This course is a complete guide to understanding the basics of firearms ownership, safety, and nomenclature, and how it applies to home- or self-defense. After this class, students will feel confident to act as their family’s first line of defense in the event of a home invasion or other critical incident.

 

Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.
