
An Introduction to Porcupine Quills
This free workshop is a part of the Tee Wákacak program series, and is a partnership between Little Eagle Arts Foundation and the Nature Center at Devil's Lake State Park. Melanie Tallmadge Sainz (Ho-Chunk) is an award-winning mixed media artist and Director of Little Eagle Arts Foundation (LEAF). She will provide a hands-on workshop integrating natural porcupine quills, beads, and deerskin. Participants will create bracelets or chokers as a memory of this shared cultural experience.
