Join us on Zoom from 6 PM to 8 PM on Thursday, September 8. The purpose of this event is to create an open forum where Baraboo area residents can learn more about the relationship between mental health, equity, and law enforcement in our community.
This event will also be recorded and posted on the library's YouTube channel. Links to the video will also be available on the City of Baraboo website.
The panel discussion will feature Sara Jesse, Community Health Strategist, Sauk County Department of Health; Jessica Mijal, Mental Health and Recovery Services Manager, Sauk County Department of Human Services; Jared Pierce, Behavioral Health Specialist, Sauk County Law Enforcement Center; Mark Schauf, Chief of Police, Baraboo Police Department; and community members who will share their lived experiences.
Jenny Erickson, Community Development Educator with UW-Madison Extension-Sauk County will moderate the discussion.
Local partners for this event include The Baraboo Acts Coalition, the Carnegie-Schadde Memorial Public Library of Baraboo, the City of Baraboo Police Department, and the UW-Madison Sauk County Extension.
This discussion is part of a series of Community Conversations aimed at promoting equity, unity, and inclusivity in the Baraboo community.
