Join us as we participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count! This yearly event from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, the National Audubon Society, and Birds Canada is a citizen science project in which people around the world record the birds they see and hear for one weekend in February. The data gathered will help scientists better understand and protect birds!
The library will be participating in this project by leading a group expedition through the neighborhood to record the birds we see. Todd Persche of the Baraboo Range Preservation Association will lead the walk and provide bird identification guidance. You don't have to be an expert birder to participate, and all ages are welcome! Meet in front of the library at 9 AM on Saturday, February 18.
