Explore how and why people fear these ancient fantastical creatures, as well as their relationship to contemporary literature and film. What do they symbolize and why do they persist?
Frances B. Auld has a Ph.D. in British Literature, Medieval and Gothic, Cultural Studies/Horror from University of South Florida. She has previously taught at the University of Wisconsin-Baraboo/Sauk County.
