Voices from the Cemetery
Join us at Walnut Hill Cemetery, 1805 East Street. Families are welcome. Volunteers will be stationed at various grave sites throughout the cemetery to share interesting stories about those Baraboo citizens buried at Walnut Hill Cemetery. Families will complete a “scavenger hunt” by visiting those grave sites and learning about specific histories of some of the more prominent people buried at the oldest cemetery in Baraboo. Wear walking shoes, bring your own water bottle, and wear bug spray! This is a self-guided walking tour. Please park on Madison Street and meet at the metal office building in the southeast corner of the cemetery. No parking is allowed in the cemetery except for handicapped parking by the office building. Please walk in from Madison Street. This program is co-sponsored with the Baraboo Cemetery Association and the Sauk County Historical Society.
