SUMMARY:Winter Photo Hike - Rescheduled / Devil's Lake State Park
DESCRIPTION:What better excuse to get outside in the winter is to go on a hike to take pictures! This will be an informal hike or snowshoe with chances to get out and take pictures of Devil's Lake in winter. This hike is a good one for amature photographers or photographers who would like to help others take better pictures. We will start at Steinke basin\, heading up the rescue road to the top of the east bluff. Since we will be hiking near dusk\, hopefully we'll get a beautiful sunset to take pictures of from on top of the bluff. Be sure to bring a flashlight or headlamp with you since we'll be hiking back down at twilight. This will be about a 2-mile hike with some rugged/difficult terrain\, but not too steep of hills. It can get chilly on top of the bluff\, so make sure to dress in layers and bring water with you. If we have enough snow\, we'll snowshoe up the bluff. Please bring your own snowshoes\; we'll have a limited number of snowshoe for participants to borrow. And\, don't forget your camera! Meet at the Steinke Basin Parking Lot.
