DESCRIPTION:All ages. Create and display a scarecrow in your yard and be part of our community-wide Scarecrow Parade! Display your scarecrow in your yard or at Ochsner Zoo from September 21 - October 14. Join us at Ochsner Park on Saturday\, September 21 to create your own family scarecrow. The library will provide the straw\, clothes\, frames and burlap. Space is limited so pre-registration is required. Registration forms are available at the library starting August 12. OR... Build your own scarecrow at home with your own supplies. Register your scarecrow with the library and we will put your creation on our parade route map. Registered scarecrows will be judged by library staff on Wednesday\, September 25. Prizes will be awarded in five categories: Silliest\, Most Creative\, Best Book Character\, People's Choice and Best Business. This program is co-sponsored with the Baraboo Parks\, Recreation & Forestry Department.
