NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course is the best way to learn the basics of pistol shooting from the top firearms training organization in the world! Students will use a .22 caliber handgun provided by DEZ. The ultimate goal is to teach the knowledge\, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. This 5+ hour course is led by our NRA Certified Pistol Instructor.\n\n\n\nCourse topics include: gun safety rules\, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols\, ammunition knowledge and selection\, pistol selection and storage\, shooting fundamentals\, pistol inspection and maintenance\, marksmanship\, and shooting range safety.\n\n\n\nAdditionally\, students will complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA Certified Instructor.\n\n\n\nStudents will receive the NRA Guide: Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook\, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination and receive a course completion certificate bearing the signature of the NRA Certified Instructor.\n\n\n\n$130.00 Fee includes .22 caliber pistol (provided)\, 60 rounds of ammo\, eye\, ear protection and a target.\n\nProper range attire: No low cut tops or open toed shoes.
