SUMMARY:Defensive Pistol
DESCRIPTION:Defensive Pistol class will provide students with the knowledge and training to safely and effectively utilize a pistol from a concealed or outside the waistband holster. This course focuses on the requirements to use deadly force\, drawing from a concealed holster\, clearing malfunctions\, shooting from cover vs concealment\, controlled and tactical movement\, and various shooting positions required for defense\, including live fire/dry fire training. Note: This is an intermediate level course. Students must have taken our Basic Handgun class\, or possess the knowledge and safe-handling skills that are covered in Basic Handgun (authorization by an instructor to skip pre-requisite). A moderate level of physical activity will required during the range portion of this class. Equipment and supplies required: Students will need their own pistol\, holster\, two magazines\, and a minimum of 100 rounds of ammunition (150 preferred)\, eye and hearing protection. Closed toe shoes and appropriate clothing for moderate activity and concealment are required. Note: Hearing\, eye protection and ammo are available for purchase.\nLive Fire\n\nThis class includes range time.
