Join PATCH (Providers & Teens Communicating for Health) and Hope House for an innovated, teen-facilitated workshop that uses skits, short quizzes, and other activities to educate, engage, and empower health care providers on ways to better connect with teens. The PATCH for Providers workshop stresses the importance of establishing trust, being respectful, and using appropriate communication strategies with teen patients. PATCH recognizes that teens themselves are best equipped to offer accurate and authentic insight into adolescent experiences, concerns, and preferences; so we rely on our Teen Educators to be the experts, to share their stories, and to represent a diverse group of teen perspectives. We welcome anyone who works with teens to attend this workshop, including school staff, social workers, mental health professionals, and medical care providers. Attendees are welcome to bring their own dinner. This workshop is approved for 1.5 CME/CNE credits in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providers of the Association of Reproductive Health Professionals and the Wisconsin Alliance for Women's Health.
