How to be an Old Hand at the New Trust Law
We have recently seen some sweeping changes in the law
of estate planning. In 2014, Wisconsin completely revised
our trust law with the enactment of the Uniform Trust Code.
Given the new very large estate tax exclusions under the
American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012, income tax planning for
estates has taken on a new prominence. The emergence of
digital assets has created new estate planning conundrums.
With all of the change, however, many of the basic estate
planning techniques remain the same.
