Autumn Color Weekend
There’s nothing comparable to enjoying the beautiful brilliant hues of autumn in the rural Sauk County countryside from the comfort of our restored vintage passenger cars. Join us for “leaf-peeping” in style along the unspoiled right-of-way of our historic former Chicago & North Western rail line.
SCHEDULE
Daytime coach and caboose trains operate on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with each ride lasting 55 minutes. See the below schedule for full listing.
On Saturday and Sunday, First Class tickets are available on select departure times. Each First Class train ride lasts 55 minutes.
Autumn Color Weekend also features a Saturday evening Elegant Dinner Train, lasting 2 ½ to 3 hours.
COACH CLASS
Our standard fare, this is the way most people experience Mid-Continent Railway Museum’s demonstration train ride. Windows line the sides of the cars allowing excellent viewing of the fall colors. Conductors ride with passengers to collect tickets and answer questions about the history of the railroad.
