A significant focus of the Aldo Leopold Foundation’s land stewardship work is helping to manage the Leopold-Pine Island Important Bird Area (IBA). Join us for a discussion led by the Leopold Foundation’s Carl Cotter, our IBA Coordinator, and learn more about the work we are doing to contribute to this impressive cooperative conservation project. Learn about the history of this IBA management partnership, how bird species are identified and prioritized for habitat management, and a comprehensive look at the past, current, and future land management strategies that are used on our property.
